OH YEAH, STEELER NATION.

MERRY CHRISTMAS, THE NORTH BELONGS TO THE STEELERS ONCE AGAIN!

Get well ASAP Le'Veon Bell, but what a great team win.

Almost everyone put in on this one, not the least of which was/were Brice McCain’s two picks of Andy Dalton, Antwan Blake’s forced fumble/recovery, and a secondary that generally looked like it had something to prove.

And huge game ball obviously goes to AB.

Punt return TD and 64-yard 4th quarter TD grab were difference makers in this one, which was especially necessary given the massive loss in Bell (not to mention Ben’s illness).

And speaking of, huge ups to a flu stricken Big Ben, who looked only barely worse for wear, despite even having to leave the field after the first series.

Dude is a warrior.

But what I was most psyched about last night was that it seemed like the Steelers were playing with swagger (ie my choice of title videos was deliberate).

They were in Andy Dalton’s head, and they seemed to be on the front foot pretty much from end to end, start to finish.

It’s been quite a journey this season, but it just reinforces that the NFL season is a long con, a game of inches that you gotta play for 17 weeks.

If you want to finish better than you started, and it’s a continuous upward trajectory, I can’t wait to see what happens this Saturday.

It’s officially Ravens playoff week, you guys.

If you don’t want to see a Ravens-Steelers prime time playoff game at Heinz Field, I don’t know why you watch the Steelers at all.

Keep your foot on the gas, and continue to prove who runs the North.

Yo, Ravens.

See you Saturday.

HERE WE FUCKING GO, PITTSBURGH!

PLAYOFFS, BABY!!
Make out with a stranger tonight, but only do the good drugs, because the Steelers are headed for the postseason for the first time since 2011.
Welcome back to the bandwagon.
Cincy next Sunday at Heinz for the division title.

PLAYOFFS, BABY!!

Make out with a stranger tonight, but only do the good drugs, because the Steelers are headed for the postseason for the first time since 2011.

Welcome back to the bandwagon.

Cincy next Sunday at Heinz for the division title.

It ain’t over yet, Pittsburgh.

Let’s keep the pedal to the metal and show ‘em all who they don’t wanna see in January.

 Here we go.

Last week was one, thanks to the “Killer B’s”, this is now two.

With another vital ROAD win (although you wouldn’t have known it was a road game), the Steelers are down to two more one game seasons.

image

Another week, another set of big time performances from Ben Roethlisberger, who completed 77% of his passes for 360 yards, Antonio Brown, who caught 10 passes for 123 yards and exercised the footwork of a professional ballroom dancer, and Le'veon Bell, who despite not netting 200+ yards for a 4th straight game, did throw in another 119 yards (47 running, 72 receiving).

image

But, I just want to say one thing.

Record setting aside (and congrats to Big Ben, Le'veon Bell, and Antonio Brown!), the differential in this one was Big Play Willie Gay’s 3RD (!) pick six of the season.

Without that, this is potentially a 20-20 tie game.

The defense may not have been flawless, but it did its part.

So, it comes down to two more battles at Heinz Field, one against an AFC playoff contender, and a game that could determine the AFC North Champion.

Shit is realer than ever, Steeler nation.

Keep your shoelaces tied, and let’s pick this back up next Sunday.

9-5, and coming home.

Here we go.

That’s One…

In the end it may mean nothing, or it may mean everything, but today it means THAT’S THE WAY TO BANG!

Tomlin’s EPIC locker room fist pump, “That’s the way to bang!”

Hey, Cincy…

A pretty dominant game all around, but an obvious game ball goes to the Belldozer himself.

26 carries, 185 yards (that’s a 7.1 yard per carry average!), 6 catches, 56 yards, and half of the Steelers 42 points.

No disrespect to Big Ben or Antonio Brown, but this dude is on a tear like we’ve never seen as Steelers fans.

Big up to the O-line as well, allowing ZERO sacks on Ben.

The defense for coming up with two fumble recoveries, including the soon-to-be infamous butt fumble.

image

And the Large one, who somehow posted 350 yards and three TDs, despite the fact that Le'Veon Bell had the ball on almost half of the Steelers plays.

No doubt you’ve already seen the results of the rest of the division’s games, but forget about it.

It doesn’t matter.

The Steelers have three games left, and all three are must-wins on par with today.

Starting with Atlanta next Sunday, in Atlanta.

Smell the roses for a couple of hours, because tomorrow it’s back to work.

See you again in a few weeks, pussies.

Here we go.
